NH Legends of Hockey Announces Triplet Computers as Title Sponsor for the 2026 Legends of Hockey Golf Classic

Manchester, NH — The New Hampshire Legends of Hockey proudly announces Triplet Computers as the Title Sponsor of the 2026 Legends of Hockey Golf Classic, scheduled for July 10, 2026, at Pembroke Pines Country Club in Pembroke, New Hampshire. The Legends of Hockey Golf Classic, now in its 20th year, is the organization’s major annual fundraiser. The event supports the Legends’ mission to preserve New Hampshire’s rich hockey heritage while supporting the development of youth hockey statewide. Past tournaments have averaged 124 golfers, with fields capped at 132 players and strong sponsor participation.

Sponsorship Opportunities Still Available:
A variety of sponsorship opportunities remain available for businesses and individuals who wish to support the 2026 Legends of Hockey Golf Classic. Sponsorships help fund the NH Legends of Hockey’s mission to preserve the state’s hockey heritage and provide financial assistance to youth hockey organizations across New Hampshire.

Available opportunities include options for hole sponsors, contest sponsors, corporate teams, program advertising, and additional premium placements. Each sponsorship level offers valuable visibility to a highly engaged audience of players, alumni, and supporters from across the region.

This year marks the tournament’s Twentieth Tournament and the first appearance at Pembroke Pines Country Club, an 18‑hole venue known for its scenic layout, excellent course conditions, and welcoming atmosphere. The event begins with an 8:30 a.m. with their famous air-horn start and includes breakfast sandwich, contests, raffle, auction items, two Vegas holes supporting NH East Youth Hockey Assn. and a post‑round meal.

Around the Boards April 2026

In this month’s issue we will touch on the following:  The Upcoming 20th Annual Golf Classic and our 2026 Supporter Campaign.

There is no better time of year for fans of golf and hockey. The Masters delivered beautiful conditions and a standout performance from Rory McIlroy, while golf courses across New Hampshire are opening for the season. At the same time, the quest for Lord Stanley’s Cup begins this weekend as NHL teams enter the playoffs—showcasing the very best of both sports.

NH Legends Golf Classic

The NH Legends Golf Classic is set as a premier one-day tournament, drawing strong early interest from across the region. Half of the available 32 foursomes have already registered and paid through the official website.

The tournament remains open to all golfers, but space is limited:

  • Field Limit: 32 foursomes (128 players)
  • Registration Deadline: June 1, 2026
  • Status: Filling quickly

Once all 32 foursomes are confirmed and paid, registration will close—potentially before the June 1 deadline. Golfers are encouraged to register soon to guarantee their spot.

The NH Legends Annual Supporter Campaign is through the first quarter and is open to all hockey enthusiasts of the game. This initiative provides an opportunity to be recognized as part of a high-profile local effort during one of the most exciting times of the sports calendar.

Sophia Jurksztowicz Named Keynote Speaker for 2025 NH Legends of Hockey Induction Ceremony

Concord, NH – The New Hampshire Legends of Hockey is pleased to announce that Sophia Jurksztowicz, renowned NESN personality and team reporter for the Boston Bruins, will serve as the Keynote Speaker at this year’s Induction Ceremony on Sunday, October 26, 2025.

Sophia steps in following a scheduling change for Zdeno Chara, who is no longer able to attend due to his new position with the Boston Bruins. While we are disappointed that Zdeno will not be joining us this year, we are thrilled and honored to welcome Sophia. Her work covering the Bruins and her strong connection to the hockey community make her a perfect fit for this celebration of New Hampshire’s hockey heritage.

As we approach our goal of 300 attendees, we are excited to announce that ticket sales have been extended until Friday, October 17th to accommodate additional interest.

2025 NH Legends of Hockey Golf Classic Results

Friday July 11th, the Board of Directors hosted the 19th Annual NH Legends of Hockey Golf Classic at the beautiful Stonebridge Country Club in Goffstown. With 114 players, more than a dozen volunteers and countless supporters, this year’s event was one to remember.

A Heartfelt Welcome
The day began with opening remarks from Mike Gould, President of the Legends, who extended gratitude to the golfers, volunteers, and over three dozen generous sponsors. Special thanks were given to our board members and Executive Director Jim Hayes for their year-round commitment to honoring and preserving New Hampshire’s rich hockey heritage, while also supporting youth hockey development throughout the state.

Special Recognitions
We were proud to welcome eight Hall of Fame members and several family members of inductees to the event. A sincere thank-you to each of you for joining us and continuing to support our mission.

We also paused for a moment of silence to honor the memories of three beloved members of our community who passed since the last tournament: Claudette Lavigne (spouse of Hall of Famer Roland Lavigne) Michael Bernard (brother of board member Ray Bernard) Dave “Stats” Elliot, a longtime friend of New Hampshire hockey.

Our thoughts are also with Ron Gosselin, Dick Theriault, and Roger Letourneau, three Hall of Famers currently facing health challenges.

Tournament Highlights
The weather was ideal, the course was once again in top shape thanks to General Manager Jason Jozokos, Events Coordinator Cyndee Williams, and the entire Stonebridge team, and the spirit of camaraderie was on full display.

2025 Champions – Matt Junkin, Mike Pagan, Evan Baker and Erol Moe took top honors, finishing the par-71 course at 57 (-14).  While Stevan Tempesta, David Butkus, Lea Butkus and Nicole Butkus were just a shot back finishing with a 58 (-13) .  Taking third place honors with a 60 (-11) on a match of cards was Dick Dodds, Alex Dodds, Patrick Dodds and Max Woods.  They birdied the Par 5 Hole 14.

Volunteers Make It Happen
We’re deeply grateful for our dedicated volunteers who ensured smooth re-registration, an exciting raffle, and fun contests throughout the day. Special thanks to: Vachon Clukay & Company of Manchester – Jarad Vartanian and his team: Nick Lewis, Liz Heffernen and Ellie Crump.  Additionally, Executive Board member Julie Normand, along with volunteers Lindsay Anderson and Joanie Vallieres welcomed the players, distributed their gifts and sold more of the 50/50 Cash Raffle Tickets.

Your efforts the the players kind donations on those two helped raise more than $2,000.00 which will be available at CSG Hockey in Concord, supporting equipment needs for their youth players.

Putting Green Contest Winner:
Joe Vallieres oversaw the putting contact and Gerry Bergeron took home the ($100 cash prize) ousting the other two finalists.

50/50 Cash Raffle Winner:
Foursomes were able to purchase the $25.00 Cash Raffle tickets and sign-up and received 5 for their group.  Additional tickets where bought that day and the winner received a cash-payout of $1085.00.  Very nice!!!

Looking Ahead: 2025 Induction Ceremony
Our premiere event is fast approaching! Join us on October 26 at the Grappone Center in Concord for the 23rd Annual NH Legends of Hockey Induction Ceremony, where we will welcome the Class of 2025:  Coaches Category: Louis Chabot, Players Category: Chris Grassie, Tim Schaller, Paul Thompson and the Builders Category: Scott Crowder.

We will also honor the historic Club National hockey team, active in Nashua during the 1920s.

Foursome Sign-up Deadline this Sunday

Last Week we had extended our registration for foursomes and payment deadline beyond June 1st.

Currently we have 26 of our maximum 32 foursomes and will finish up this Sunday June 22nd.  This will allow our board enough time to complete the details for our Nineteenth Annual Golf Classic.

So the first 6 foursomes signed in on-line to play will join us at Stonebridge for what’s guaranteed to be another memorable day.  So please come join the Dodd’s Family on July 11th.

This year we ask you to pay for your foursome with a credit card online. A Team Captain will need to be assigned with a single payment due for the foursome.  Registration & Payment deadline has been extended to Sunday June 22nd.  So the first six foursomes which are paid though the payment box below will be in the Classic.

2024 Golf Classic Results

Last Friday, July 12th, the board of directors held their eighteenth NH Legends of Hockey Golf Classic at the Stonebridge Country Club in Goffstown.

The event was kicked off with a message from Mike Gould, President of the (Legends). He thanked the players, volunteers, board members and the thirty-nine generous sponsors led by Title Sponsor Rink Services Group, long-time Gold Sponsor St. Paul’s School.  Thanks also to New Hampshire Distributors, nucar Automotive Group and The Rinks at Exeter. In addition to the 11 Silver Sponsors and 23 Bronze Sponsors.  Mike also thanked the 94 businesses and individuals donated wonderful certificates and items for our raffle and auction, all of which makes our Golf Classic the successful tournament it has become known for.

He also acknowledged the eleven Hall of Famers in attendance.  Beginning with the Legends first President Dick Boucher; Ryan Brandt; Chris Brown; Dick Dodds; Mark Evans; Leo Gould, Rene LeClerc; Ken McKinnon; John Normand, Bruce Parker and Rich Ryerson.

The Class of 2024 will be inducted on October 20 at Concord’s Grappone Center at the Twenty-second Legends of Hockey Induction Ceremony.

Our premiere event, is our Induction Ceremony which will be held on October 23rd at the Grappone Center in Concord.  Mat Myers and Fred Quistgard will be inducted as Coaches while Ronald Gosselin and Daniel Dagesse are being inducted as Builders.  In addition, the NH Selects history will be honored at that time. Mike asked for a moment of silence in remembrance of former long time board member, Dave Corriveau, Jackie Nadeau, the spouse of Hall of Famer and former board member Walter Nadeau
as well as a long time supporter of the Legends Dave “Krusie” Kruse who all passed since last year’s Golf Classic.  In addition, he asked us all to send positive thoughts and prayers to Roger Letourneau who is facing some upcoming cancer surgery.

One hundred and twenty-eight players had a blast and the course was once again top notch led by General Manager Jason Jozokos, Events Coordination Cyndee Williams and their entire team at Stonebridge.

2024 Champions: Chris McLaughlin, Collin Stroshine Chris Stroshine and Chris McIntosh

The Champs finished the par 71 at -14 while Lee Hayes, Matt Junkin, Evan Baker and Mike Pagan finished a stroke back and 3rd place honors went to Grant Kelly, Grant Goulet, Dave Scott and Travis Banga.  Closest to the Pins on 4, 6, 13 and 18 went to Lee Hayes, Chris McLaughlin, Collin Stroshine and Shayne Forsley.  Long Drive on Hole 1 for all was awarded to Greg Dumont.

Volunteers Our volunteers worked very hard all-day long keeping the registration, raffle and on course contests running smoothly. In addition, a special shoutout to Vachon Clukay & Company of Manchester and Jarad Vartanian and his staff Elizabeth Heffernan, Logan Pike and Caleb Barker as well as Nancy Swenson; Joanie Vallieres; Sandy Adams and board member Julie Normand  who all worked tirelessly to ensure the re-registration and raffle ran smoothly.  All those updating their contact information should receive thank you letters and our Enewsletter release.

And on the putting green, board members Dick Boucher and Jack Mudge led the putting contest where Paul Bears took home the title.

In addition, on the 18th Hole (which was a par 3 for the day) board member Eric Swenson, HOF Jim Rivers led volunteers which included the Plymouth Junior Panther representatives Katie Chapman and her son Jaxson. On Hole 6, board members Ray Bernard and Dan Zapton along with Joe Vallieres and Panther volunteers Dave Chapman and his daughter Charlie had a good time while raising funds.  Thanks to the great work from the Panthers and the generosity from our golfers helped raised significant money which will be used for equipment purchases and CSG Hockey in Concord.

2025 Golf Classic: Mark your calendar now for next year’s Golf Classic scheduled for Friday July 11, 2025.  The Infamous Air-Horn start will begin the tournament at 8:30.  Registration will begin at 7:00 and continue to 8:00 am.
