2024 Golf Classic Results
Last Friday, July 12th, the board of directors held their eighteenth NH Legends of Hockey Golf Classic at the Stonebridge Country Club in Goffstown.
The event was kicked off with a message from Mike Gould, President of the (Legends). He thanked the players, volunteers, board members and the thirty-nine generous sponsors led by Title Sponsor Rink Services Group, long-time Gold Sponsor St. Paul’s School. Thanks also to New Hampshire Distributors, nucar Automotive Group and The Rinks at Exeter. In addition to the 11 Silver Sponsors and 23 Bronze Sponsors. Mike also thanked the 94 businesses and individuals donated wonderful certificates and items for our raffle and auction, all of which makes our Golf Classic the successful tournament it has become known for.

He also acknowledged the eleven Hall of Famers in attendance. Beginning with the Legends first President Dick Boucher; Ryan Brandt; Chris Brown; Dick Dodds; Mark Evans; Leo Gould, Rene LeClerc; Ken McKinnon; John Normand, Bruce Parker and Rich Ryerson.
The Class of 2024 will be inducted on October 20 at Concord’s Grappone Center at the Twenty-second Legends of Hockey Induction Ceremony.
Our premiere event, is our Induction Ceremony which will be held on October 23rd at the Grappone Center in Concord. Mat Myers and Fred Quistgard will be inducted as Coaches while Ronald Gosselin and Daniel Dagesse are being inducted as Builders. In addition, the NH Selects history will be honored at that time. Mike asked for a moment of silence in remembrance of former long time board member, Dave Corriveau, Jackie Nadeau, the spouse of Hall of Famer and former board member Walter Nadeau
as well as a long time supporter of the Legends Dave “Krusie” Kruse who all passed since last year’s Golf Classic. In addition, he asked us all to send positive thoughts and prayers to Roger Letourneau who is facing some upcoming cancer surgery.
One hundred and twenty-eight players had a blast and the course was once again top notch led by General Manager Jason Jozokos, Events Coordination Cyndee Williams and their entire team at Stonebridge.

2024 Champions: Chris McLaughlin, Collin Stroshine Chris Stroshine and Chris McIntosh
The Champs finished the par 71 at -14 while Lee Hayes, Matt Junkin, Evan Baker and Mike Pagan finished a stroke back and 3rd place honors went to Grant Kelly, Grant Goulet, Dave Scott and Travis Banga. Closest to the Pins on 4, 6, 13 and 18 went to Lee Hayes, Chris McLaughlin, Collin Stroshine and Shayne Forsley. Long Drive on Hole 1 for all was awarded to Greg Dumont.

Volunteers Our volunteers worked very hard all-day long keeping the registration, raffle and on course contests running smoothly. In addition, a special shoutout to Vachon Clukay & Company of Manchester and Jarad Vartanian and his staff Elizabeth Heffernan, Logan Pike and Caleb Barker as well as Nancy Swenson; Joanie Vallieres; Sandy Adams and board member Julie Normand who all worked tirelessly to ensure the re-registration and raffle ran smoothly. And on the putting green, board members Dick Boucher and Jack Mudge led the putting contest where Paul Bears took home the title.

In addition, on the 18th Hole (which was a par 3 for the day) board member Eric Swenson, HOF Jim Rivers led volunteers which included the Plymouth Junior Panther representatives Katie Chapman and her son Jaxson. On Hole 6, board members Ray Bernard and Dan Zapton along with Joe Vallieres and Panther volunteers Dave Chapman and his daughter Charlie had a good time while raising funds. Thanks to the great work from the Panthers and the generosity from our golfers helped raised significant money which will be used for equipment purchases and CSG Hockey in Concord.

2025 Golf Classic: Mark your calendar now for next year’s Golf Classic scheduled for Friday July 11, 2025. The Infamous Air-Horn start will begin the tournament at 8:30. Registration will begin at 7:00 and continue to 8:00 am.
