In addition, we will be recognizing teams Club National of Nashua and honoring their hockey history. The Club sponsored a traveling hockey team that competed across New England that included matchups with opponents from Massachusetts, Maine and New Hampshire from 1923 to 1928. Their home rinks included Sandy Pond (then Balcom Ice Pond), Nashua Country Club and South Common. In 1926, Club National was a founding member of the New England Hockey League and league champions that season. Club National players Art Lesieur and Ted Stackhouse were Stanley Cup Champions with Montreal and Toronto respectively. These players, along with other local talent, were standout contributors and respected figures in the Nashua hockey community. Club National players left an indelible mark on the city of Nashua and the sport of hockey. Click here to listen to Ken Cail, Ed Lecius and Ian Wood discuss the history of the Club National Hockey team on Cail & Company. We look forward to seeing you at our event.
